Flower the FIsh

CEK and I made a deal which required her keeping up her end of the bargain for 10 days.
When the tenth day was complete my girl got a fish...
This is Flower!
The lady at the pet store explained "Flower" was a boy.
CEK completely ignored this strange woman who apparently tells fish lies.
I got smart and purchased a kit.
CEK filled it up the tank with water and tadah...
We are the proud owners of a fish.
I am hoping to teach CEK some responsibility with Flower.
Wish me luck!

Giga Ball

How many people does it take to blow up a Giga Ball?
This many!
CEK got this Giga ball for Christmas and we are just blowing it up.
Why you might ask...
Because we live on flat ground and someone has to roll her in the giga ball.
Nana is the first victim.
Then Nana call for reinforcements!
And doesn't run out of steam as quickly as Nana!
Then the tables were turned and Nana became the Giga Ball victim!
It made for a good afternoon!

CEK plays Soccer

Caroline was excited when we decided to play soccer at the last minute.
She loved her first practice but on the way home she said that she didn't want to play in her game. After many questions she said that she was afraid that her team would lose.
(Fortunately, in 4 year old soccer they do not keep score or have goalies!)
I really didn't know what to tell my precious when she expressed this concern.
Chip and I explained to her that games were fun and she agreed to try...
Our girl brought her "A" game!
CEK was a little timid at first, but once she scored her first goal it was on!
A pre-game pep talk from Chip!
When arriving at the field she was mored concerned that her gatorade wasn't big enough!
So much for losing or winning!
She skipped out on the field!
Got a pep talk from Coach Brandy...
And let her lose!
She scored 3 goals in a row!
Get it CEK!
When the game was over she asked who won...
We explained that no one kept score.
However, the white head in the above picture was totally keeping score!
Mystery Grannie was all over it.
I know my girl did her best and scored 3 goals!
She is number 8 on the field and number 1 in our hearts!
(That was for you BOB)
I don't know if she learned any life lessons but she gained a little confidence Saturday.
Score 1 for team Kenworthy!

The Family the Stains Together...

We had family tie dye night at our house!
This was a Chip project and CEK was pumped.
You must ALWAYS read the instructions.
And properly prepare your dying area!
Cover your kid with plastic and they will still walk away with blue hands!
Receiving the instructions!
After the instructions were given it was a tie dye free for all!
But CEK is a rule follower!
Me enjoying my family and proving I was a participant!
Work in progress.
The 24 hour waiting process was rough on my 4 year old!
But the results were worth it!
She was tickled with her finished products.
Apparently she expresses her pleasure by posing with attitude.
Thank you for that pose again Nana!

Back to School!

After a long summer CEK has headed back to school...
It was about 65 degrees on her first day!
She chose the back porch as the scene of her back to school video.

Miss Angie seemed thrilled to have my girl back at school!
I am thrilled she is back at school!
Good Luck Miss Angie!
Cheers to another year at Holy Cross Catholic Pre-School!

Tea for Twol

CEK loves to play with the china that belonged to Chip's Mamaw!
Last week she invited me to a tea party that required formal attire.

CEK displayed her best manners!
And all of her best bows!
After our tea party was complete she had a date with her dad.
They went to see spy kids 19 (I really don't know what number)
She insisted on wearing her dress...
I am learning to pick my battles.

Wild and Crazy Girls!

These two went on a field trip before school started!
Why is there hair pink and purple you may ask....
Well the night before this little adventure Nana and Poppy took CEK to Walgreens.
She came home with hair color..... hmmm!
Cool Girls!
Sassy Girls!
We went to a new family fun center in town
These four were about to have some fun!
CEK was determined to get people wet!
BAM was determined NOT to get wet!
I believe she made the right decision.
Let the war begin!
Poppy was soaked!
So was Nana! CEK was tickled!
Happy parents who feel as if they are even for the hair dye!

Shrinky Dinks

When Yaya was here for a visit they made some shrinky dinks!
Yaya had a new appreciation for CEK's ability to obsess.
She sat in front of the the oven while the shrinkies shrunk.
Happy Girls!

Mother Nature

CEK has been cut off from most Disney shows in the evening.
I let the first time she gave me a DUH go, the second time I knew we had a problem.
Anyway, she has been watching the sprout channel at night now.
They do a craft between EVERY show. So now I have traded a smart mouthed little girl for Martha Stewart. Here we are making a nature wreath...
Collecting our goods in a plastic bag...
Mother Nature would not be pleased!
I said CEK was mother nature not me.
My flowers did not make it through the 110 degree weather.
Precious girl
My girl working her best Martha skills!
The finished project!
I will trade this for a Duh any day!
