Nolan & Nashville

Last weekend we met our favorite nephew in Nashville. (His parents came too)
We hit up the Opryland hotel for some winter activities!
We don't get too much snow in TN so they create the fun for us!
 The arctic plunge!
 We went ice skating!
CEK actually ice skated... I just tried to keep my rear off the ice.
I was successful! So was CEK!
Aunt Jess is more experienced in ice skating!
She taught CEK how to skate backwards.
Again I was trying to take pictures and stand up.
Nolan was not as good on skates as CEK.
However, he has never roller skated either.
CEK can roller blade for hours!!!! The men enjoyed watching! (And Freezing!)
Next it was off for some more ice and the Predators game.
 My 2 favorite fans!
It was a totally family environment except for the cussing Blackhawks fans behind us!
Kenworthy family 1 (minus the twins)
Caroline told Nolan this is what his family would be like all the time without the girls!
Ha - she is such an only child!
One HAPPY only child!

So Far Behind....UGH!

So I got a new phone (6plus - it is magic) and did some crazy download.
I restored all of my pictures but they won't download from the cloud so blah blah blah....
Here is what I have!
CEK is really into productions this season! She has so many lines right now I am confused!
Here she is in the 2nd grade production of FLAKES!
The names says it all.  They were snowflakes.
 They all had matching dresses.
Because that is how the Crazy 8 roll!
However, there were 2 productions so I couldn't get them all together!
 Dinner with her #1 Fan.
CEK is also in the height of her swimming season.
She has been battling bronchitis but brought best butterfly to the pool.
Sweet Girls feeling the swimming spirit!
I am going to do better...I promise Callie!

Girl Time!

Chip went on a kayaking trip 2 weeks ago.
 He was gone over night...
This is how Frankie felt about it.
CEK and I missed him terribly of course...
But we took the opportunity to have a little girlie fun!
She woke up (in my bed of course) and asked what we were going to do.   I happened to be reading my emails and had gotten one about getting tickets to see Frozen on ice REALLY cheap.  I knew they were going to be in the nose-bleed section but heck we were living wildly.  When I asked if that was what she wanted to do she was in the shower before she said a word.  I took that as a yes and bought the $18 tickets!
We drove to Nasville and made a few stops before heading to the show!
CiCi's frozen yogurt for lunch?
Why not?
Cute new outfit for the show? OK
Move over to the mall?  Sure (This kid loves a mall)
What she DOESN"T love is being hot.  So she shucked those leggings fast.
These glasses are probably the only thing she didn't hustle me out of all day!
I LOVE a pair of glasses but I couldn't see these as a necessity.
However, she did get one more wardrobe change out of me...
She HAD to have this shirt for the show.
Leggings back on.. Let's GO!
Here we are in our cheap seats - LITERALLY!
That sweet child thought they were the BEST seats ever.
What was not cheap was that doll!  JEEZ!
Picture with all 3 princesses for today!
Now Bridgestone arena hustled me out of this hot dog...
I am sorry but we don't have regular hot dogs!  WHATEVER!
We had a wonderful day and I hopes she remembers it as long as I will!
The following weekend I went on a girls trip.  We went GLAMPING!
Look it up on pinterest!
 A lovely group of women!
This was the coolest thing we did!!!
That is me in the front left... I got a little wet!
I do love a good apple festival!
And my pal Shelli!
 Here was our glamping tent.
The hill getting down to that tent was a BEAST!
But so was this toilet!  A compost toilet!
It was a wonderful weekend in the woods!
Love ALL of these girls!

Cousins, Clothing and Fall Ball

I am trying to catch up people!  So after a couple more jumbled posts I should be good!
We went to Indiana over Labor Day Weekend.  All the girl cousins were there.  Nolan was VERY missed.
There was a surprise in Yaya and Bob's backyard for their girls.
Yes that is a precious playhouse that matches their big house.
CEK got to decorating pretty quickly!
The twins were at Nana's house!
Lots of crafting goes on at Nana's house.
I believe Ava is sitting up and Grace is laid out on the floor.
The following weekend G came to our house for Uncle T's high school reunion.
I, being the wonderful Aunt that I am, got her a Henry County t-shirt.
 She was thrilled!
She tailgated with us and sweat more than any child should!
The following day with celebrated her birthday!
Sitting on the table eating cake is only for big girls!
CEK has started developing a style of her own...
This T-shirt is great - Thanks Meghan and Rob
CEK also has tiny baby hairs all around her face which makes "hair-doing" difficult.
Anyone who knows me outside of this blog, knows that I love a bang buster.
CEK has fallen in love as well!
It is only better when it is bedazzled with her initials!
Happy Fall people!

Random Things...

I am SO far behind on blogging!
Since discovering Instagram I get my social media fix and forget to blog.
My kid will not appreciate that I forgot.... so here are some randoms as I organize some other posts!
After school starts we go to the fair!
Above is the proof!
Caroline, Audrey and Celia transformed into ninjas one night and had a blast!
Thank goodness I love to buy staple black pieces of clothing for my kid!
These 3 "broke in" Celia's house several times.  I said that made them thieves not ninjas!
The Big Bass Splash came and went!
 So did Yaya and Bob!
My mother is going to kill me for posting a picture of my father with bed head!
When the grandparents came to visit CEK took Yaya to school.
Mrs. Searcy and my mother are old pals!
We took Yaya on a boat ride before she left town!
The grandparents have enjoyed the boat as much as we have this year!
 Chip and Caroline got kayaks!
They love them!
 Frankie is HUGE!
It is football season in this small town!
We have been doing lots of tailgating!
Blessed that my kid has such great friends so that we can be friends with their parents!
We actually went in one game too!
 Love this kid!
I was parked at a stop light and these 2 pulled up.
Love them too!
To my 1 regular reader, Callie Pierce, I will be better at blogging!

First Day of School!

Caroline started 2nd Grade on August 7th!
She started with a sweet treat from her Nana and Yaya!
 She was pretty excited!
Her clothes are getting cooler and less "baby-ish"
I am trying to find a happy medium with growing up and keeping her little.
This might be the toughest part of parenting so far!
Our last picture together in front of Rhea school!
Next year it is off the PES
Chip was a little sentimental too!
Lynda Searcy is Caroline's teacher this year!
She is a long time family friend - who danced at our wedding!
Caroline will be dancing with her all year. We couldn't be happier!
She will also be dancing with 2 of her best pals!
Anne Claire and Carly Jo!
We are all looking forward to a wonderful year!
