First Day of School!

Caroline started 2nd Grade on August 7th!
She started with a sweet treat from her Nana and Yaya!
 She was pretty excited!
Her clothes are getting cooler and less "baby-ish"
I am trying to find a happy medium with growing up and keeping her little.
This might be the toughest part of parenting so far!
Our last picture together in front of Rhea school!
Next year it is off the PES
Chip was a little sentimental too!
Lynda Searcy is Caroline's teacher this year!
She is a long time family friend - who danced at our wedding!
Caroline will be dancing with her all year. We couldn't be happier!
She will also be dancing with 2 of her best pals!
Anne Claire and Carly Jo!
We are all looking forward to a wonderful year!

Last Camping Event of the Summer

We went camping the week before school started.
We headed to the Prizer Point Campground at the suggestion of the Perrys.
It did not disappoint!
The hound got to go too!
We went with the Grooms girls and Rob and 2 of his girls!
Skylar could not be found for the photo!
 These 3 had a blast!
 The campground was perfect!
It was small enough the girls could run around but there was enough to do to keep them busy!
And camping allows plenty of time for laying around!
 So we did!
 And did some more!
However there was lots of things to do when not laying around!
This paddle boat is an optical illusion!
This was hard!
Katherine, Caroline and Campbell all paddle boarded.
Katherine was the only one to actually stand up!
They climbed and jumped off this super large iceberg thing!
And they rode this slide.  A bunch!
And they we laid around some more!
It was a great way to end the summer!

Isabelle Movie Premiere

CEK and I hosted an outdoor movie party.
These are better when spontaneous as opposed to planned!
I know when a party is a bust and it was a bust.
It didn't get dark in time...kids were jacked up on candy.
It was rough.
I can live with failure.
All the kids waited for it to get dark....
It was hot!
REALLY hot!
At least we had cute snacks!

And a popcorn machine!
I mean even the pictures I took were bad.
You can't win them all!

Poppy's Boat

We finally got Nana and Poppy out on THEIR boat!
They haven't been to the lake house much this summer for several reasons... but we finally drug them out!
 Caroline was pretty excited!
They thought they were just going to watch their baby tube!
I mean Nana has on her "riding home" clothes!
That is why we took Audrey... so that CEK could have a riding partner! I DO NOT RIDE THE TUBE!
 They were ready!
They rode and rode... and then demanded that Poppy ride too!
And so he did!
I am pretty sure Poppy thought he was going to die.
Now if he is in a gun stand off with a "perp" no biggie... put the man on a tube and he is wearing sissy pants.
But I can't complain because... I DO NOT RIDE THE TUBE!
Once sissy pants was done the girls started chanting NANA NANA NANA!
So she hopped on that tube in her clothes and rode with her baby!
There was a lot of giggling coming off that tube!
Nana looked like a hot mess when she got off that tube!
But Audrey Jean won the tubing prize!
She lost her tooth while riding that tube and managed not to drop it!
Good day!
Thanks for that boat Poppy!

Buffalo Trip

We floated the Buffalo river again this year and it did not disappoint....except it did.
We had a much larger group filled with great/fun friends.
Thank goodness because we had to hang out for 1.5 hours while waiting for them to take us to the drop off spot. The kids ran around like crazy and the adults chatted.  They showed up to take us right as it started to rain...
We are all waiting patiently...

Then we loaded the boats and took off!
It really was fun... a little wetter than usual but still lots of fun.
Here is team Kenworthy headed down the river.
We rented a kayak this year, I thoroughly enjoyed that part.
I tried to get a photo of all the families...
Dana and Robert and the Brady Bunch went..
Gracie, Celia, Tanner and Benton
The boys had a great time... they will be back next year!
Katherine and Tracy took the older girls!
Campbell and Mary Kate
Their 3rd annual trip!
I still think Bentley has 2 years before she can go!
Craig and Shelli took their kids and 1 extra for year 2.
I am not sure Courtland will go again next year.... I am just sayin'
Not only did we wait and it rained... their canoe tipped about 6 minutes into the trip.  BOO
The Lawerences took the trip for the first time the year...
No tipping and they didn't care about the rain.
They will be back!
And here is how our family photo went!
They love a photo NOT REALLY!
The Olives went too.
This photo is the proof... cause both of their kids were asleep by the end.
I think they are out next year!
We shall see!

Caroline and Celia!

I can't believe it has taken me so long to introduce Celia on the blog!
Celia moved in across the street and answered our prayers! HA!
Caroline and Celia are just enough alike to be soul sisters, while just different enough not to kill each other!
They are a friendship made in heaven!  They look alike and dress alike too!
Whenever we are ANYWHERE people ask if they are twins... they like it a little.
When they are dressed the same it confuses people even more!
Which is MOST of the time.
We introduced Celia to the pedicure at the beginning of the summer and she is hooked!
Like I said these girls go most places together.
 And do completely random things.
They will go to different schools in the fall....
which might be a problem!
 But probably not!
They have bond that I am very grateful for...
I hope it only gets stronger!

I don't think I will have to worry!
Celia also has a brother, Benton, who treats CEK like a little sister too!
These kids have had a great summer!
Riding scooters, running around barefoot, building a hide-out and doing all things summer!
I am so thankful their family has come into our lives!
