Snow Days....

We had a VERY big snow for Paris.
The thing was it was ice first, then snow.
It made for some good snow days!
Caroline and I got out early to "explore" the snow.
She "explored" while I took pictures!
 CEK loved the snow!
Never complained that it was cold once.
I was freezing the whole time!
Things really got exciting when Chip got involved.
I loved watching these two play.... ALL DAY!
The 4 wheelers came out of the garage and the games began!
The neighbors came out to play!
 Friends came over!
Our little neighborhood became a snow playground!
CEK and Audrey rode on this sled ALL DAY!
Carter and CEK patiently waited for the "after lunch" round of play.
When this happened we knew the day had hit it's redneck peak!
My husband pulled Darrin all over the neighborhood skiing.
Neighbors came out on their porches to watch and wave.
Day #2 took us away from the hood and to the hills.
Well we went with the Hills to the hills to sled.
I am not going to lie, again I did more watching than "sledding"
 My people had fun!
I went down once.
Snow days 1 and 2 were awesome!
The kids did not go to school all week!
Memories!

American Girl Trip

We headed to St. Louis with the Hills and the Grooms to hit the American Girl store for Audrey's birthday!
I don't know who was more excited????
Me or the kid???
Add 4 other little girls and dolls and we hit that door ready to rock and roll!
Each child had been saving their own money for this trip!
It was hilarious they each handled it differently.  Like Audrey wasn't coming off much of her money...
When we got in the store....
I mean she was just in awe of the place!
Made it worth the drive for sure!
 Then they gathered in awe....
Then it was time to get serious!
All the dolls got their hair "did"
I mean have you EVER!
 Patiently waiting...
 Tah-dah
Isabelle got the style of the month.
It involve a waterfall braid... pretty impressive really!
 Mother/daughter love!
 Money spending complete.
I was pretty impressed she didn't spend ALL of it - just most of it!
 Look at Bentley! Precious!
A great day trip for these girls!
Caroline got a camping tent and a softball suit.
All the girls and their dolls got matching pajamas!
Which made for this precious picture!

A visit from Yaya

Chip was out of town for a few days and Yaya moved in.
We had to introduce Yaya to several of our favorite things... Starting with Jaspe'
Jaspe' is my friend's new salon, an Aveda salon to be exact... we love it!
YaYa trying on some Aveda products
CEK and I got our hair did!
Saturday we moved on to another one of our favorite things to do....
Creative Canvas
CEK was very kind to offer her "helping" services to Yaya's masterpiece.
We all got to select out art - I will always paint a tree.
 The finished products
Yaya shared with CEK her love of driving!
It is the only time I have seen her willing turn over the wheel!
We also hit up the Discovery Park of America!
We took Olivia cause she is the best kid ever!
Yaya has decided we should adopt Olivia...uh her parents may have a problem with that.
They like her too.
CEK has done this before and I still have no idea what she is doing.
 3 generations of cool chics
(Literally it was freezing out)
Well cool is a relative term with these 2.
Great visit!

Random Love

After the swim championship the coaches had a banquet.
Everyone got a medal...love these girls!
Love was in the air at Wal-mart!
 The holiday of stuffed animals!
CEK wanted to give her valentine Drake "5 buckaroos"
When I explained that wasn't very personal she decided on a stuffed animal - even less personal!
Sorry Drake.
Her dad got her roses and candy - which of course she thought was the best thing since ... EVER!
We picked Drake up from school and took him to get some ice cream.  A little more personal!
Drake got CEK a gift certificate to Jaspe'
Holy Cow he speaks our love language!
CEK wrote this sweet letter to our neighbors.
They are a very kind retired couple who love to give her gummies shaped like food and blue drinks!
We see them more in the summer they just don't love the cold weather.
CEK decided to drop this letter off and call them out on it.
Simmer Down CEK - Mama will get you some gummies!

Swim Championship

These pictures have been loaded for 2 weeks...
I have been a lazy blogger.
However, my kid is not lazy - she rocked the swim championship!
She is was pretty excited!
Her first event was a relay so that got the nerves out...
She swam butterfly.  Chip and I both swam as kids and HATED the butterfly.
I would rather you just snap me with the swim cap repeatedly.
Unless you are an Olympian you do not look pretty doing the butterfly!
So every kid in the 8 and under looked like they were trying to stay alive in the water.
Now breaststroke is her stroke!
She took 6th place.
She won her heat and took 6th overall.
I am done bragging.
Here she is trying to stay alive!
Several of the crazy 8 attended the championship!
AC, CEK, Jean and MK
Yaya and Bob attended too!
Here Yaya is giving our girl a pep talk.
Can you see she had the eye of the tiger?
Swimming Cousins
Showing off her heat and lane assignments!
She just likes to write on herself with a sharpie.
There it is again...The eye of the tiger!
Number 1 fans!
You can tell because we bought shirts to prove it!
The board proving her heat victory!
Sorry you have such a long name kiddo!
