A Lot to Be Thankful For...

My Family has had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We loaded up Wednesday and headed north. We headed home.

To Indiana. Going to Indiana for Caroline is like going to Disney World.

We were all looking forward to this trip and this time with our families.

Caroline provided the decorations.
My mother and mother-in-law cooked.

We sat down for Thanksgiving dinner with Yaya, Bob, Nana, Poppy, Rob, Meghan and our family of 3 and I was thankful. We missed Bee, Trinity, Todd, Jess and the kids, but I was thankful they were will their other families they love. I have so much to be thankful for this year.

There was no rushing around, no have we been here long enough, when do we go there...

Just the people we love and that love my little family the most, sitting together.

These two are getting married.

These two had a great visit together!

My sweet husband turned 36 on Thanksgiving day!

We were happy to be together as a family!

We are thankful!

We sang happy birthday!

CEK snuck a little cake!

Chip opened his gifts! The neck warmer is from Jane and Bob, I added Uncle Maurice's hat. We won't be keeping that. Just the memories!

Leader of the Pilgrims

Today was the Friendly Feast at Holy Cross Catholic Preschool
It also happened to be CEK leader day.
She takes this very seriously!
It was Miss Angie that I could not take seriously today!
Great for the 4 year olds but hilarious to me!
CEK was the weather girl today!
She also got to feed Peter!
Now I know why being the leader was is so important!
Maybe if I gave in and let her be the leader at home she would feed Flower (the fish)
Then she had to put the finishing touches on her turkey with Miss Connie.
Again dressed for my enjoyment I believe!
Then Miss Angie suited up the kids!
CEK absolutely adores this woman.
Precious!
The sister friends!
My favorite Pilgrim and Indian!
Belting out a tune about a turkey!
The feast!
Please note Caroline's name card.
Apparently, she feared running out of room.
Once she realized she was in the clear she blew up her letters.
Where the Indians and Pilgrims broke bread!
Ahh Team Medlin.
Everyone looking, smiling and in focus.
And Team Kenworthy
Taken by Marty Anne Medlin
You would think I would know by now not to hand my camera to MAM
I love it!
(Chip is actually laughing and saying why are you letting her take this picture)
And last but not least our Miss Connie!
If not for this woman CEK would leave HCCPS and wonder the streets of Paris until I got off work!
We are thankful for her!

My Favorite 5 Year Old... at least for a Month!

BAM turned 5 this weekend!
I love this child like my own...
Caroline demands they are sisters and their friendship is very special!
BAM beats to her own drum and that is why we love her!
She requested this Monster High dress up suit and CEK came through for her!
We are very blessed to have her in our lives, a best sister friend!
And for the next 39 days she will be my favorite 5 year old!
Happy Birthday Briley!

Artist in Training

CEK is obsessed with art.
She loves to paint, color and glue things. Any thing... she loves to glue it.
So Saturday we headed to Murray to Creative Canvas.
She loved it and they had the perfect class for her age.
They draw and she paints.
Here was the example the teacher was following.
My little artist.
She mixed her colors.
And worked her magic!
Putting the finishing touches on her work.
Tah dah!
They have this class every week.
I have a feeling they will be doing on lots of Saturday mornings.
We will have to get some nails for the art gallery!

Precious Baby Theo

I am a little behind in my blogging, as precious baby Theo is now 3 weeks old.
However, he is precious and that hair!
Laura and Ted had a textbook pregnancy....
then the delivery turned into a c-section. No problem, they could deal with a c-section.
Then on day 2 Theo passed some blood in his stool. After a round of testing here, Theo was sent to Vanderbilt hospital for more testing. After 3 days there they determined he was indeed a healthy baby! So Theo had a chaotic first couple days but is settling down now into his little life as a healthy, pooping, eating ,crying infant. Laura informed me he enjoyed when she danced, funny she enjoys when she dances. Sooo she will have that baby weight off in no time.
We went to visit last week after things had calmed down a little.
Again that hair!
CEK was not sure about him at first!
Here Theo do you want a papi?
If you recall she was planning on taking hers to college.
So she assumes he wants this... he was not that interested.
Aunt Laura produced a bottle and let CEK work her magic.
A sleeping baby is a happy baby.
CEK agrees HA!

A Great Finish!

CEK wrapped up her first soccer season on Saturday.
She had a great time and could probably tell you how many goals she scored this season.
She was really impressed with her first trophy.
I have to admit it is much fancier than the one I received at her age.
(The one season I played soccer.)
Here she is with her trophy and her free pizza from Papa Johns.
She was REALLY impressed with that pizza coupon.
She and Chip are HUGE pizza fans!
When I arrived home from picking up her free pizza (carry-out only)
she sat down and ate 3 pizza.
She informed me she had to eat her prize!
Congratulations our little soccer star!

Trick-or-Treating Royaly

CEK was seriously pumped about trick-or-treating this year!
She featured her 2nd outfit of the Halloween season, purchased by Yaya and Bob.
(Chip and I vowed to only purchase one suit this year.)
Her majesty was ticked that we are having to wait for people to get home from work to start harassing them for candy!
Loaded up in her carriage to tackle the neighborhood!
With her royal subjects Batman and Darth Vadar.
Once they got the hang of saying "trick-or-treat" they were ready to go all night!
She perfected running while holding her skirt up!
Davis with his favorite princess!
Neighbor got his picture taken and then confirmed he would be turning out his light.
He only needed one little trick-or-treater to complete his Halloween!
This dude completed it for us!
We called it a night......
After robbing Chip of all of our candy!
Can you trick-or-treat at your own house?
You can if you are CEK!
Counting the loot!
Happy Halloween sweet girl!
