Celebrating Summer!

So the Magnificent 7 has been increased to the Crazy 8!
Ava B has joined these girls hence changing the name to "Crazy"
I think the number is irrelevant.
These girls are ready to rock summer!
The pool is still a little cold.
Amelia was shivering!
Mary Kate didn't seem to mind
Anne Claire was cold but moving so fast it seemed to keep her warm
Audrey is pretty much ready to roll with anything... cold or hot
Ava is still warming up to the fact that I will be sticking a camera in her face on a  regular basis
Carly Jo is now officially used to me sticking a camera in her face! Yea!
My second child gave in long ago... tired and freezing she still smile when I tell her to look at the camera!
Last but not least....
The kid that is never cold and is SOOOO ready to rock this summer!
Get used to these faces people.
You going to get a summer full of them... bible school, camp, swimming and general summer fun!

Last Day of Kindergarten

CEK finished kindergarten on May 17.  She had promotion day - which is when they go to meet their new teachers.  Miss Gina Brush will be her first grade teacher.  Mary Kate will be in her class and lots of other buddies!  Chip and I can't seem to grasp that we have a first grader!
We are very proud of her!
Here she is on her first day of kindergarten!
Time flies! So blessed that this child is ours!

RHEA 5K that we didn't do... and mile... that we did!

CEK and I ran the mile fun run at school!
Being the "non-runners" that we are we put our numbers on the back...duh
We were saved by a couple of real runners who didn't want us to look like idiots!
5 of the Magnificent 7 were there early enough for a picture.
MK and AC were missed in the photo. MK cause her Mama has 3 kids to get ready for such events and AC because she was having a yard sale!
Daddy came to support his girls!
And make sure we didn't have heart attacks...
He caught this picture of us before they screamed go...
Ahhh here is MK she and CEK did a little walking
 A bunch of tired girls!
But they were pleased that they got free bananas..
Here they are waiting for their medals... Some of them were very disappointed!
It was a hard lesson but one that is best learned early.
Win or lose we all had fun.. sort of.

A Rainy Field Day

It has rained EVERY Friday in Paris for 2 months... Seriously!
 Field Day was no exception.
CEK was not pleased... but RHEA PTO did not let a little rain stop them.
They did the best they could with what they had... which was a lot of kids in a gym.
 The cup stacking Queens!
 CEK was the magicians "assistant"
She was super impressed with his skills!
They had a petting zoo under the awning...
I was supe impressed with the animals skills not to bite one of the kids - some of them deserved it!
I sent this picture to Chip with CEK's request for a mini horse... he said he would also like a mini horse.
Maybe Santa will come through for Christmas family!
Wrapping up the kindergarten year!

A Star is born...

With school winding down and kindergarten coming to an end our calendar is full of activities!
Last week the kindergarten classes put on a performance of "Hats"
Caroline came home announcing that she was Hatless Henrietta.
When I inquired what that meant... she told me it was a surprise.
A week or 2 later we received a letter home from school that she was indeed... Hatless Henrietta.
Please practice these lines and show up on May 2nd at 7pm.
So here we are... May 2nd 7 pm and pumped!
Nana and Poppy came to see CEK as Hatless Henrietta...
Yaya and Bob had the sickness.
CEK and a Hatless Miss Kelley
 The stage was set....
Nana was in charge of pictures... I will say she did better than expected through the tears.
Nana is a cryer.  I was in charge of recording this performance.
Hatless Henrietta before she found her hat!
Please notice all the other children wearing hats...
Here CEK aka Hatless Henrietta finds her crazy hat!
 Precious kiddos singing and dancing!
Two strange people with large heads!
One more close up of our girl before she had to give the hat back!
CEK and ACB after the performace.
CEK watching her performance and yelling at us for talking to each other when we should have been holding our breath while she performed!
 Celebration ice cream for Henrietta!
Great Job kid you have a future on stage....maybe!

Fish Fry Parade

We were pretty excited about the parade this year!
We have not been to the parade since CEKwas 2 years old.
They were so precious!
This year they gathered a few new friends...
But these two a full of traditions!
Moving on...
We took Nana and Poppy to the parade with us.
4 seconds after this photo was taken it started to rain and did not stop!
These precious little girls got drenched!
The hood patrol.
Mama was not so smart.
Another seat... they moved around quite a bit!
But they all stood in awe of this guy!
This guy is tiny!
Speaking of tiny.... these corndogs are not tiny.
Marty Anne and I are absolutely ridiculous when it comes to fair food.
Wet girls!
Wet girls with candy.
Shortly after this was taken the rain became a storm and we had to abandon the parade.
Maybe we will try again next year...
