Christmas Day!

The rest of the family arrived but CEK didn't bother to get dressed haha!
By this time I think Caroline was on present overload so she was as excited to hand out gifts as she was to receive them!
Here she was pleased to give Mimi her hand warmer.
And present Poppy with his mouse pad featurine a picture of her.
 Loving on Nana!
Nana and Poppy got her a jewelry box.  She had to stop everything and load that baby up!
It wouldn't be Christmas with Nana without something Barbie.
Cece helps Chip open his gifts.
 Nana and Caroline playing fibber....
While I am forced to put together that Barbie ship!
But look at these two goobs putting together Legos while CEK watches t.v.
It was a very blessed Christmas for us!
We have much to be thankful for and love our families for coming to spend time with us!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Everyone got up early Christmas morning....
They all waited patiently for me to get my coffee!
Actually I don't think CeCe ever got up!
She sleeps with Mom and is generally attached to her when Mom is here.
It must have been too early for Yaya!
She apparently thought this picture was good!
Oh Well, Let the unwrapping start
 Santa came through on McKenna
He also got lots of Lego Friends,
But the Stompeez were a big hit!
 Some of the damage...
Then the rest of the morning spent building legos with Chip!
Because of the winter storm that was predicted ,and eventually hit, Indiana, Yaya and Bob decided to leave after breakfast.  It was a great Christmas with them and now we laid around and waited for Nana and Poppy to arrive!

Christmas Ever

We opened a few gifts Christmas Eve... Mostly the ones from Chip and I to CEK.
 CEK selected carefully!
While dressed like a Justin Bieber ninja.... don't ask.
She and Bob explored things as they opened!
We spread gifts out over the day!
Which made it pretty relaxing and CEK could spend time examining her new stuff!
 A surprise from Daddy!
 We left cookies for Santa....
Then passed out!
Just like the night before!

Bieber Fever

So we let Caroline spread her gifts out over a couple of days... because they family was spread out over a couple of days!  We let her open the big gift from us on Sunday after her angelic performance!
(Please be warned that CEK put on her pajamas Sunday afternoon and kept them on until Wednesday night when everything was gone and all the Christmas decor was put away.  The choice of jammies changed a couple times and baths were mixed in but for the most part she was "comfy" for 4 days.)
Here she is opening her gift... it is mixed in with some goods she might want to wear.
Like black sequined chuck taylors.... she is really confused at this point.
Because we made a big deal of this gift and she was not impressed with shoes.
Trying to figure out what this paper says...
She holds them up knowing she should be excited!
Aunt Meghan is coming to translate what this all means...
These are tickets to a Justin Bieber concert?
OMG!  All my friends are going and we are riding a party bus for my birthday? OMG
Basking in glow of Bieber...
Now she knows why she needs a sequined beret!
I will not let her wear it that way to the concert!
CEK also got a special gift from Yaya and Bob!
The American Girl historical doll Caroline!
She loves it!
Uncle Rob got a special gift as well... hahaha!
Winding down .... and it isn't even Christmas Eve yet!

A Christmas Angel

Without going to much into our lives.... I was raised Catholic and Chip was raised Methodist.
In my heart I will always believe in the Catholic faith, in my life I will practice the best spiritual life for my whole family.  We have found that at the Methodist church.  We have been attending FUMC for about a year.  Caroline participated in the Christmas program this year.... she was sure she was the star!
Actually cousin Olivia was the star!
 Our star was an angel!
During the performance Jennifer told the Angels to hold their hands up....
CEK did for the whole program.  When she was done she informed me her arms were exhausted!
See... still holding her arms up!
 Our little Angel!

Kenworthy Cousins getting them some reason for the season!
YaYa and CEK after the show!
Rob and Meghan were in town!
They were impressed with CEK's arm strength.

Let the Christmasing Begin!

ESPN Highlights haha!

So I am going to try to give you the Readers Digest version of this story....
CEK wanted to run in the Reindeer Run at the Middle School.  It is a 5k but they provided a 1 mile fun run for kids.  I agreed to do this with her.  I DO NOT LIKE TO RUN! Give me an elliptical and I am good to go, but running no thanks.  Entirely too much bouncing.  I have always hated running.  In volleyball in high school everyone hated to be in my line for sprints....cause Mama was slow! I thought for a minute I would secretly become a runner and tried the couch to 5k app. Nope hated it.  Anyway, I do want Caroline to hate it less if she has the opportunity.  So this was her opportunity.
Here we are before the race!
Mother/Daughter in matching headbands the kid insisted on :)
I won't complain someday she won't want me in the same room with her.
My friend Leigh Ann is the photographer here... Chip had a corp. visit at work.
Here I am explaining to Leigh Ann that I can't believe this race is laps around a parking lot.
I mean everyone will see if I walk!
But in the end that was probably best....
Pride kept us running... in circles.  Here I am getting outrun by 2 six year olds!
Winnie in the pink hat is 10 so I should be getting beat by her! Duh
The competitive gene in my kid kicked in and she left me in the dust!
Here we are after the race.
Team Kenworthy...
She was the winner in her age group and I didn't throw-up!
Caroline and her tiny teacher Miss Kelley.
Miss Kelley won the whole 5k.
I suspect that Miss Kelley being a runner may have something to do with CEK wanting to run races.
Whatever the reason we were very proud of our girl!
Next we went to scope out the swim team.
CEK wanted to do it this year but we decided to wait one more year...
Pal Audrey is an awesome swimmer!
Here is CEK cheering her on in her relay.
Sunday Airborne gymnastics had it's winter exhibition.
We suited up and headed to the performance in our IU gear courtesy of Yaya and Bob.
Ready to show off her moves!
 Here is her skill!
Snarf!
All the kids received a medal!
 With our little gymnast.
Don't ask me why I am standing like that...
Little Emma and CEK are in class together
After the performance we could take pics....
You know I was right up there doing that like we were really at the Olympics.
CEK posed like this without any directions!
Ahhh my girl is learning!
CEK and her Bailey.
Bailey lives across the street and her parents own the gym!
Caroline is featuring Baileys first team leotard in this picture!
It was a good weekend!
